Wayland Baptist University
The Wayland Baptist University McClung University Center included the complete interior renovation of the basement and first floor dining area. The existing facilities were outdated, and underutilized by the student body. The lighting was also inadequate in order for the spaces to be properly utilized or to even provide an inviting atmosphere. The new basement included a new contemporary lounge with a café style servery. The lounge area directly exits out on to an exterior courtyard area which was revitalized under a different project. The new design creates a series of gathering areas. Furniture is moveable to give the space flexibility to accommodate for group gathering spaces or individual study areas. The first floor dining area scope of work included finishes completely redone, new furniture, bar style seating areas, several condiment stations and lighting upgrades. The kitchen and equipment were completely redone as well. This provides better service, increased number points of sale and improved equipment capacities, adjacencies and flow.
