Paso Del Norte Facility Improvements
A renovation to improve the way-finding aspects, promote a welcoming experience and shortening the wait times for people entering the United States. Large revolving doors replaced the existing entrances, not only to provide the throughput requirements but also to help reduce the amount of conditioned air leakage. Desert colors and native plant/landscape photography was utilized as “Art in Architecture” to soften the rigidity and stressful experience of the immigration process andpromote a more enjoyable and welcoming experience.
